Bring your group to Universal Studios Florida™ to warm up the streets, as they march prior to our new holiday parade. This is a unique opportunity for your group, where Santa Claus is going to have his hands full as the Minions bring merry and mayhem to the parade, along with Dreamworks characters from Madagascar and Shrek. Universal is partnering with Macy’s to bring this new parade experience to life.
STARS Stage Performance Programs
From The Universal CityWalk™ Lagoon Stage*, non-marching groups entertain crowds of delighted Universal visitors. Whether your group is a jazz band, show choir, concert choir, orchestra, or dance team, the cheers and applause of grateful guests will leave your performers with wonderful lifelong memories.
Stage groups will perform to crowds of delighted Universal visitors from the Universal CityWalk covered Lagoon Stage* in the Universal CityWalk™ entertainment complex. These performances should be 30 minutes long, encompassing positive and energetic musical selections. Student performers take their showmanship to the next level, wowing audiences (and themselves), then celebrate and enjoy both Universal Orlando™ theme parks.
Workshops
In these programs, your students can get hands-on, real-world advice geared toward several performance career paths. Bands and choirs will score an actual movie scene and dancers will learn how to ace auditions and more. All of our workshops are developed to align with National Core Arts Standards and focus on career readiness.
Sound Design: Music and the Art of Foley – This program is newly enhanced and designed by Robert W. Smith to reinforce National Core Arts Standards. Students will sync music, choral arrangements, Foley and digital sound effects to real movie scenes from hits like Illumination Entertainment’s Despicable Me and The Lorax in our hands-on workshop.
Dance is UNIVERSAL! A Workshop with the Professionals – In this workshop, students will learn what it’s like to have a professional career in dance. They’ll get tips for writing a winning resume and having a successful audition. And they’ll get to work on an original themed routine incorporating ballet, jazz and musical theatre all choreographed and taught by one of our very own highly trained professional choreographers and performers.
